The Merry Moppets
The puppet show is based on Taiwanese folktales of Great Aunt Tiger. A famous version is written by Wang Shi-lang . The story is set in a Hakka settlement in Taiwan.
The show serves as a warning: “Beware the stranger” who comes unbidden. The puppet show will be presented in a humorous way, allowing children to learn about staying cautious of strangers while having fun. At the end of play, there will be interactive moments with the children to inspire their creativity and cleverness.
We are a team devoted to the rich heritage of Taiwanese Hakka Culture. With passion for preserving the Hakka Language, cuisine, dance, music, puppet show and aesthetics.
Engaging in performances, education, design and intercultural exchange to share the depth and warmth of Hakka tradition and new contemporary with the world.
