Leaping Dragon Workshop

Dragons are vastly different from one culture to the next. Their appearances vary greatly, their powers even more so, but there’s one thing that is the same across the many legends:

Dragons are Born to Be Free!

This paper craft is a dragon that never stops reaching for the skies. Conquer your favourite colours, decide on how many legs your dragon has, and soar into the air with your handmade dragon! The sky’s the limit.

What kind of dragon represents the real you?

There is no wrong answer, and only one rule—be brave and be true to yourself!

Dates:
Saturday, FEB 17
Sunday, FEB 18
Time:
2pm - 5pm

Dragon Charm of Freedom Workshop

Did you know that dragons of the East do not have wings? Dragons are mythical creatures that are related to natural elements and phenomena. They are free to go wherever they want, the sky, the water, and anywhere else—so free, they don’t even need wings!

Let’s make our own dragon charms to protect us wherever we go. Using shrink paper and your favourite colours, this keychain will surely inspire you to chase after freedom. What does it mean to be as free as a dragon?

Tickets: $54.58

· Materials fee: $50
· Transaction fee: $4.58
· Limited capacity

Dates:
Saturday, FEB 17
Sunday, FEB 18
Time:

Colour the Dragon Workshop

Dragons are magic! They can fly, they can twist into funny shapes, and they can even change colours!

The scales of the dragon are something unique. Just like the colours of our skin, or our names, or our taste in food. Each one reflects something unique, like each of us standing together. Pieced together along the dragon’s graceful shape, it colours a beautiful creature like no other.

This group project uses polarize film sheets, light, and a little imagination to create dragons as majestic and bold as every one of us. Like the colourful dragons that dive through the air, we are free to change and grow.

Let’s create a dragon that represents the Canada you see around you!
